At the beginning of Week 3 of filming My Tales From The Scale, I was already beginning to feel frustrated because my weight loss was slower than expected.

It’s not that I wasn’t losing weight. Because I was. At the end of Week 2, I had lost 5.4 pounds, but Week 2 ended with a four-day period that had stagnated around the same specific weight.

FOUR DAYS, people!

I was lamenting four measly days at around the same weight. I was frustrated and already feeling impatient. And this was at the end of Week 2. That doesn’t bode well for the marathon that is weight loss.

When I told my good friend MaryElizabeth about this, she shared a tale of her own. It was the story of her 45 pound weight loss when she was 16 years old. It was the perfect story at the perfect time and gave me a lot of perspective on my impatience at my weight loss being slower than expected.
